Why I Started Razzle Books

Razzle Books started with one simple idea: family comes first.

I couldn’t find books that truly reflected family life and what it meant to me — not overly busy, not generic, not disposable. Too many books felt rushed or mass-produced. Others were loud without being meaningful. I wanted books that support connection, calm, creativity, and time together.

So I created Razzle Books.

The heart of the brand is the Razzle Animal Coloring Books. I wanted coloring books that were original, hand-drawn, and never used AI. More importantly, I wanted them to focus on real family moments — the everyday experiences that colorists recognize and feel safe inside. Surprisingly, nothing like this really existed in the marketplace. These books aren’t about filling pages. They’re about warmth, familiarity, and shared time. And they appeal to all ages, kids and adults both.

The same family-first thinking shaped the Pocket Perfect Coloring Books. These were designed for real life — the in-between moments when families are on the go. Small, portable, and easy to pull out while waiting, traveling, or winding down. Calm, intentional coloring without needing a big setup or a screen.

The subsequent trivia books followed the same philosophy. They aren’t just lists of questions and answers. They’re structured as games — meant to be played together, laughed over, and talked through. They’re designed to spark curiosity and conversation, not isolate everyone in their own head.

That approach is most obvious in the road trip books. These aren’t books you hand to a child in the back seat to keep them quiet. They’re books that pull the whole family in. Games that invite conversation, debate, humor, and shared memories — turning travel time into time together.

At its core, Razzle Books is about families connecting without screens and electronics for brief moments, making memories, and getting to know each other better.

This brand is personal to me. Family matters. Thoughtful design matters. The experience people have together with a book matters more than trends or volume.

Razzle Books will never be about filler or shortcuts. Every book is created with care and intention. If it doesn’t strengthen connection, spark joy, or make family time feel easier and more meaningful, it doesn’t belong here.

That’s why I started Razzle Books. And that’s what it will always be built around.
